Abstracts of Genetic Movement Disorders

Submission rules
- There is no fee to submit an abstract.
- The abstract must be in English.
- Divide the abstract into sections: Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusion.
- The text of the abstract CANNOT:
- mention authorship (names and institutions) or contain reference to the service where it was carried out. Authorship should be included in the appropriate section.
- contain images and tables.
- The presenter must be registered at the event and be selected as the person responsible during submission.
- All approved abstracts will be presented as PRINTED posters during the in-person scheduled session.
- Abstracts will be rejected if they contain plagiarism, marketing, non-scientific content, are unrelated to genetic movement disorders, and/or do not meet the basic requirements. By submitting an abstract, all authors confirm that it is their own work, individually or as a group. If plagiarism is detected, the abstract will be rejected. Abstracts that have been presented at other meetings may be submitted and must include the previous meeting name and presentation date cited accordingly in the abstract body, after the Conclusion.
- Authors can request to withdraw their abstract at any time until the event.
Text formatting
- Maximum length: 3,600 characters with spaces. Title, authors, affiliations and abstract text (including bibliography, funders and acknowledgements) are included in the count.
- Title in capital letters.
- Authors: indicate the institutions to which each is affiliated.
- Optional, inserted at the end of the text:
- Bibliographic citation: cite first author, abbreviated journal, volume, initial page and year.
- Funding organizations and acknowledgements.
Poster formatting
- Poster size: 1,20m x 1,00m (length x width)
- Further instructions will be provided in the acceptance letter.
Travel grant application
First authors of abstracts who are under 40 years of age are welcomed to apply for a travel grant and registration fee waiver during the abstract submission process. A limited number of travel grants will be awarded, each in the amount of $500 USD, and will be disbursed after the Course
